Contemporary entrepreneurship operates in an environment characterized by increasing uncertainty and multidimensional risks arising from technological acceleration, market volatility, and institutional transformation. Under such conditions, traditional development models based on relative environmental stability become insufficient. Innovation-driven development is increasingly regarded not only as a source of competitive advantage but also as a strategic mechanism enabling firms to adapt to uncertainty and mitigate long-term risks. This paper offers a theoretical synthesis of international approaches to understanding innovation-driven entrepreneurship under conditions of uncertainty and risk. Uncertainty is conceptualized as an inherent feature of modern entrepreneurial activity that complicates managerial decision-making and intensifies systemic risks. At the same time, innovation activity—despite its intrinsic uncertainty—serves as a key instrument for strengthening organizational resilience and long-term sustainability.
