Franko National University of Lviv THREATS AND DIMENSIONS OF ENSURING THE COUNTRY'S ENERGY SECURITY IN THE MODERN SYSTEM OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS Abstract . The article analyzes the current external and internal threats to Ukraine’s energy security in the context of geopolitical instability, military aggression, and structural changes in the global energy sector. Particular attention is paid to the impact of Russia’s war against Ukraine on the functioning of the energy system, in particular through targeted attacks on critical infrastructure, disruption of logistics chains, and dependence on imported energy resources. The article forms a comprehensive classification of threats that includes three main groups: geopolitical (external pressure, energy blackmail, sanctions), infrastructure (network obsolescence, limited system maneuverability, technological obsolescence), and hybrid (information attacks, cyber threats, market manipulation). The author has developed a multidimensional system for assessing the level of energy security, which includes five key dimensions: infrastructure, resource, economic, environmental, and institutional. This approach allows not only to identify weaknesses in the system, but also to track the dynamics of changes in the long term. A comprehensive model of state policy in the field of energy security is proposed, which provides for: modernization of energy infrastructure, diversification of energy supply sources, expansion of domestic production, development of energy diplomacy, activation of regional cooperation, stimulation of renewable energy sources (RES) and improvement of energy efficiency.
