Data-driven foresight complements this by (i) automated scanning and clustering of weak signals, (ii) scenario construction as a structured space of plausible futures, and (iii) conversion of narratives into measurable leading indicators. The digitalization challenge is not only technical (data pipelines, analytics, modeling), but also epistemic and managerial: without explainability and governance, enterprises risk replacing slow planning with fast but unaccountable ―dashboard management,‖ while crises demand both speed and justification of trade-offs. Conceptual contribution: Crisis SenseOps as an operational integration model. To address the integration gap, this paper proposes Crisis SenseOps —an operating model that unifies diagnostics and foresight into a measurable enterprise development loop. Crisis SenseOps consists of five coupled components: (1) continuous sensing and diagnostic explanation (internal performance, process behavior, incidents, risks, and selected external signals), (2) structured foresight (weak-signal qualification and scenario construction), (3) scenario-to-trigger translation (mapping scenarios into indicators, thresholds, and monitoring rules), (4) portfolio decision gates (explicit go/pivot/stop logic linked to staged commitments and decision rights), and (5) learning and renewal (post-decision evaluation, assumption updates, and recalibration of indicators and models). The novelty is the explicit ―interface design‖ between methods and governance: process-mining and predictive monitoring outputs are required to be explainable and traceable; foresight outputs are required to be operationalized into triggers; and MLOps discipline is required to keep diagnostic and foresight models reliable under drift, enabling diagnostics and foresight to function as a maintained capability rather than a periodic project.
