57 PEDAGOGYAND EDUCATION UDC 372.891:502.4 Yatsenko Volodymyr Sergiyovych can. ped. sciences, art. sci. spivrobitnik Institute of pedagogy NAPS of Ukraine Kyev, Ukraine FORMATION OF STUDENTS' RESEARCH COMPETENCIES ON THE EXAMPLES OF PROTECTED AREAS IN THE SYSTEM OF RATIONAL NATURE MANAGEMENT The article discusses the issues of methods for the formation of students' research competencies on the examples of studying the ecological state of the environment, the peculiarities of the organization of the space of society, in particular, the use of various approaches to solving the problems of protection of protected areas and their rational use of nature (landscape-genetic, complex and spatial). Formation of correct ideas about the study of geography problems through the issues of environmental safety, assessment of the state of the natural environment, protected areas, forest policy using mathematical, cartographic and mathematical methods of modeling the global geoecosystem in monitoring the natural environment. Sustainable development of protected areas is considered as a tool in the ecological assessment of protected areas of the country's regions, students' research is aimed at studying the natural components of the landscape structure of the territory, as well as artificial objects - agricultural lands, quarries, reservoirs.
