80 Standardized mechanical testing methods ensure the reliability and reproducibility of results in the assessment of the strength, reliability, and durability of materials and structures. At the same time, each method possesses its own technical capabilities, scope of appropriate application, and certain limitations that must be taken into account when planning experimental studies or certification procedures. Table 2 presents a comparative characterization of the main testing methods from the perspective of their advantages and limitations.
