81 negative pathogenetic changes in the ovaries, prevent menstrual cycle disorders, weight gain, insulin resistance and eliminate dysphoric disorders. We identified 45 adolescent girls aged 13-15 years with hirsutism, acne, prolonged menstrual cycle, and depressed mood. All were prescribed preventive treatment for PCOS. Satisfaction with treatment was determined using a specially designed questionnaire. The results of the study are presented in the table. Table Evaluation of preventive treatment of adolescent girls with an increased risk of developing PCOS based on the results of their questionnaire, n (%) PCOS symptoms Before treatment (n = 45) During treatment (n = 45) After 3 months after start treatment After 6 months after start treatment Excessive hair growth 42 (93,3 %) 40 (88,8 %) 22 (48,8 %) Acne 38 (84,4 %) 21 (46,6 %) 12 (26,6 %) Irregular menstruation (cycle ≥ 38 days) 33 (73, 3 %) 25 (55, 5 %) 17 (37,7 %) Mostly depressed mood 29 (64,4 %) 12 (26,6 %) 6 (13,3 %) All 45 patients expressed their compliance with the repeat course of treatment. Thus, this method of preventing the progression of PCOS symptoms in adolescent girls helps to reduce hirsutism and acne, reduce skin oiliness, normalise the menstrual cycle and body weight, and improve mood and overall well-being. The technique is simple, accessible, and can be widely used in practical gynaecology.
