24 UDC 616.34-008.87 Sharayeva Maryna Cand.of Med.Sciences, Associate Professor Arsalan Imran 4 th year student Bogomoletz National Medical University, Kyiv, Ukraine FACTORS IN GUT MICROBIOME MODIFICATION Abstract The gut microbiome plays a vital role in maintaining human health by regulating metabolism, immunity, and even mental wellbeing. However, microbiomes composition is not same for everyone, it changes by time by influence factors like age, diet, physical activity, sleep, stress level, and medication use. That is why each and every person’s microbiome requires personalized, careful approach for correction, support and improvement. We discuss some factors in gut microbiome modification. Key words : gut microbiome, microbial balance, personalized microbiota variability. It is well-known, that up to 20% of gut microbiota variability depends on diet. The type of food we eat will determine the type of microorganisms in intestines for those persons who have diet mainly of western style sweet fat diet usually will have Bacteroides dominated microbiota (enterotype1) whereas those who eat fiber rich plant diet show a higher level of Prevotella (enterotype 2) and enterotype 3, which characterized by Ruminococcus as the most important constituent [1]. Long- term dietary habits versus short -term changes can lead to stable microbiota improvement.
