125 Autonomous renewable energy systems hold great potential for ensuring sustainable development of the Ukrainian energy sector, especially in the face of military and other crisis challenges. Their deployment will contribute not only to strengthening the country's energy independence but also to sustainable economic and environmental development. Keywords: Autonomous energy systems, renewable energy sources, decentralization, energy security, solar energy, energy resilience, crisis situations, sustainable development. The development of modern society is impossible without a stable and efficient energy supply. Energy plays a key role in improving the quality of life by freeing people from hard physical labor and expanding their capabilities. Global economic growth is largely driven by increasing energy production and consumption, which is influenced by factors such as industrial expansion, the development of transport infrastructure and telecommunications, the exploitation of new mineral deposits, as well as the growing needs for household energy consumption. Equally important is the modernization of military technologies and computational capabilities, which also contributes to the overall energy consumption. At the same time, the modern energy sector faces a number of challenges, among which the provision of sustainable and reliable energy sources remains key. Today, the planet has over 8.2 billion people, consuming an average of approximately 3,000 kWh per person annually, demonstrating substantial global demand for energy resources and the need to find effective solutions [15]. Today, the global energy sector remains predominantly dependent on fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas. According to recent data, these fuels account for over 80% of total primary energy consumption [2]. This dominant role of fossil fuels is due to their high energy density, developed extraction and transportation infrastructure, and relatively low cost compared to other energy sources. At the same time, the share of renewable energy sources and nuclear energy in the global energy balance is approximately 13–14%. Among renewable energy
