The first two are close to Yerevan, and the spread of digital services, the introduction of digital methods in agriculture, such as water resources management and new technologies, contributed to the stability of employment. The increase in infrastructure development is also of great importance, as well as the expansion of services. And in Syunik, which is a mining region, digitalization contributed to the growth of productivity. The other regions, which are relatively inferior to the above in terms of the level of innovation, productivity and digitalization of the economy, recorded a decrease in the employment level during the observed period. Thus, the digitalization of the economy in Armenia had a different impact on regional employment: in the capital and industrial regions, digitalization contributed to the growth of employment, while in agricultural and border regions, employment decreased due to limited digital inclusion and emigration. The study of the data shows that at the sectoral level, productivity often increases when employment is reduced, and often decreases when labor force increases. In labor-intensive sectors, such as agriculture and public services, employment reduction is accompanied by productivity growth. In high-tech sectors, such as IT and finance, employment growth is accompanied by productivity growth.
