Єреван, Республіка Вірменія THE ARMENIAN DIASPORA IN UKRAINE AND ITS CONTRIBUTION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF CITIES: A HISTORIOGRAPHICAL AND SOURCE-BASED ANALYSIS Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of historical relations between Armenia and Ukraine in a broad chronological context. It examines early contacts between Armenians and the East Slavic world, the role of Armenian communities in Ukrainian lands, interactions within various imperial frameworks, as well as the specific features of Armenian–Ukrainian relations during the Soviet and post-Soviet periods. Particular attention is paid to the cultural, socio-economic, and political dimensions of interaction, as well as to the place of bilateral relations in contemporary historiography. The aim of the article is to demonstrate that Armenian–Ukrainian relations have deep historical roots and are not limited to the framework of recent history.
