50 The implementation of SCL principles influences the quality of higher education, reveals shortcomings in quality assessment processes, and ensures the independent involvement of learners in the internal quality assurance system of education. In this context, student surveys regarding the quality of educational services provided by academic departments are of particular importance. Our objective was to analyze students’ attitudes at Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University toward the educational process at the Department of Children Infectious Diseases; to identify the challenges and advantages of learning; and to determine ways to improve its effectiveness in line with the current challenges and realities of higher education. Based on data obtained from an anonymous student survey, proposals for improving the quality of the educational process were formulated. At the Department of Children Infectious Diseases, an anonymous survey was conducted among learners—sixth-year students enrolled in the educational programs ―Medicine‖ and ―Pediatrics.‖ The student survey, as a tool for quality assurance, communication, and development, yielded the following results. A selective anonymous online survey was conducted using a questionnaire developed by the department’s teaching staff, consisting of 19 single-answer questions. All completed questionnaires from respondents were analyzed. The informativeness of the survey depends on the completeness of the sample, which makes it possible to obtain a broader range of responses and to identify prevailing trends. Students are informed that participation in the survey provides an opportunity for feedback, enables them to become active participants in the educational process, and allows their opinions to highlight specific features of teaching as well as draw attention to systemic issues. All questionnaire items were formulated appropriately. By responding to them, students expressed their personal views on the quality of teaching at the department, evaluated teaching staff, and outlined challenges and shortcomings of the educational process. Students were explicitly informed that the survey was anonymous in order to encourage honest and unbiased responses.
