135 The country's gas supply infrastructure has also been affected: aboveground gas storage facilities have been significantly damaged, while underground reservoirs have remained largely intact and can provide a basic level of supply. However, the winter of 2025-2026 poses additional challenges due to seasonal increases in demand and the cessation of Russian gas transit, creating risks to the stability of energy supply. Given these challenges, it is critical to modernize the energy system by implementation of decentralized generation sources, which will reduce the load on central grids and enhance overall resilience. In this context, the development of renewable energy sources and improved energy efficiency are priorities, thereby reducing dependence on traditional fuel resources. International experts emphasize the need to integrate alternative technologies to increase the system's adaptability to external threats and ensure long-term environmental stability. Such measures will contribute not only to energy security, but also to the sustainable development of Ukraine as a whole. Fig. 1. Decentralized energy system. The decentralized energy system model has several advantages that make it especially relevant for Ukraine in the face of military challenges and the need to quickly restore its energy infrastructure. First and foremost, it contributes to energy independence by reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels and decreasing the country's vulnerability to external energy risks. In a situation of instability and
